Kaze and Damien have decided to join forces and host a party at Kaze's Kekaa Drive home. Sure, maybe it is a little late for a Christmas party, but that doesn't mean there still isn't a little holiday cheer left, right? The only problem is, their originally planned "small get together" has become something much bigger then that.

The line is blurred.. My soul so black it burns.. Yet into the fire I walk....
....
The 'after holiday' party news had of course traveled all over the city. News always got around especially something this big. It hadn't taken much to convince the young Russian male into going to the party, just for strange kicks. But him talking his sister into such a thing proved much harder. He'd failed. Lamia did have a point such social gatherings were a bit much for her. Besides the fact that her furries presence often gave her unwelcome looks and words. Criss was still growly about the man who had been so rude to his sister. It was a good thing that he didn't know who this man was, or else he'd have a few words with him. Harsh curse in Russian, that wouldn't be it. But he didn't know, that was best for now likely.
After a little convincing from Lamia that he should go even if he kind of wanted to Criss had decided to go on. If anything it would provide some amusement and maybe even a chance to question of any jobs in the city. Or a reason he hadn't yet told to Lamia, a chance to maybe finally find out the name of the 'surfer girl' she always saw with Kaze and Damien. He didn't stand a chance with her, he had long accepted that fact. But still it wouldn't hurt to at least know her name. It wouldn't be hard to find out, she was popular enough. Even then he could just make a few new friends perhaps. Hang out do what 'normal' people do. Fun perhaps. Getting out of the apartment so he didn't go postal was good too. Even if it meant leaving Lamia at times.
After taking a quick shower he walked to the den where Lamia sat curled on the couch. His black denim jeans hung around his waist, as water dripped down his chest. Yet another failed attempt of trying to talk his sister into coming with. He finished getting dressed. Donning his jewelry, silvers mostly and the handcuff belt he adored. Out of respect of those around him he wore a black muscle shirt. Or else he'd have worn his preferred button, gapping open, with the sleeves cut off. But he should at least try to fit on occasion. "I'll be back lil sis." He promised as he grabbed his keys and jacket walking out the door. She smiled and told him to have fun, before he closed the door behind him.
....
Criss put on his jacket as walked to his bike. An orange and black '86 Honda Hawk GT. His helmet was strapped there to the seat he didn't bother with it. He wanted to feel the wind in his hair. A typical male, a boy with his toy. The bike was in mint condition despite it's age. Not a scratch on the paint or chrome. With keys in hand he stuck them into the ignition and revved the motorcycle to life. He smile was spread across his face as he listened to the purr of the engine. Criss had had the bike since he was twenty-two. But only within the last few months had he restored it enough to be ride-able. He hadn't had the energy or desire to before with so many other things, such as Lamia, on his mind. But not the time had been there and the money needed for such availiable. So one again, the bike was restored to a condition, as good if not better than it had been when he had gotten it almost five years ago.
He zoomed towards the Evan's house whispering in Russian. His lips hardly moved as he spoke the words to the poem his sister had written an put to music those many years ago. As for the two behind this party, he at least knew 'of' them. Kaze and Damien. But little else, other than that they were two of the boys fawning after the pretty brunette, surfer girl who's name he didn't know. He only knew her face. And was far from willing to admit even to himself that he might have had a bit of a crush on her. That aside, if she was there fine, if not it could still be interesting to mingle with the other locals. Being a loner wasn't always fun. His loner ways had gotten him into trouble as a teenager, and he wasn't looking for a repeat any time soon. More like ever.
Coming stop with hardly a squeak of the tires, he put one foot down balancing himself there for the moment. Running his fingers through his, once again, red streaked hair tussling it back into it's place as he looked at the house. Directions to the place were everywhere, and everyone was talking about it. He knew this must be the house, as already the sounds of a party underway were heard. He sighed, hoping his strange seeking, just a bit of normality wouldn't bite him in the ass later. Reaching the house he sighed and looked around at the sea of face he didn't know. He muttered something under his breath in Russian, along the lines of 'What am I thinking' Laced likely enough with a curse word or two that he have never translated if asked.
Lingering unseen for a moment he watched looking for any face he knew. Kaze and Damien were some where, even then he knew their faces but not who was who. He thought the cocky funny one was Kaze. Damien, was the more serious one. But he could have been wrong. Wouldn't have been the first time and he knew too it wouldn't likely be the last.
Finally parking his bike, hiding it away between nearby garage and a fence. he walked the last few feet to the house. Sighing wondering what he was in store for at his first social gathering within Maui.

This time, I wonder what it feels like To find the one in this life, the one we all dream of _____________________________________
Unlike nearly everyone else in Maui, Noelle had yet to hear about the party that Damien and Kaze were holding together. If she had heard about it, she probably would have passed out from shock anyway, because despite the fact that they had been nice to each other before they didn't strike her as the type to be buddies. But, then again, she had been wrong before. Pushing this aside for now though, Noelle had kept herself in her own little hole the past couple days, refusing to see Jethro and not wanting to talk to anyone else about what had happened except for maybe Grace. She was someone this young woman had always felt comfortable talking to, about anything. Even about something like what she had been fretting over for a while now. It was the reason she had barely talked to Will, the reason she was practically avoiding Kaze, and the reason she felt so ashamed of herself.
However, there was only so much time so could go avoiding Kaze. When it came down to it, Noelle didn't even really have to avoid him. The only reason she did was because she felt lower then dirt and didn't feel like she could look at him after sleeping with Jethro. She didn't think that she could bare to see the look on his face if he found out. All she wanted to do was impress him, or make him smile, but what would he do if she told him that? So, she hadn't. She had avoided him and therefore avoided the subject. At least, until the guilt ate away at her so badly that she couldn't take it. Noelle and Kaze had never lied to each other, and it felt wrong to start now. So, it was time for her to own up to her mistakes and tell him. For some reason, deep down, she felt like he had a right to know. Maybe he didn't, maybe it was no one else's business but her own and Jethro's, but still Noelle felt like she needed to tell him and hope for the best, or else she could never be comfortable around him again.
Cars had been driving past her house all night, but the thought of a party hadn't crossed her mind until she stepped outside and heard the music from down the street. Normally, she would go and check it out, but Noelle wasn't in much of a mood to socialize. Instead, she walked slowly down the sidewalk in her warm sweatpants, unzipped sweatshirt, and light t-shirt. Its how she had been dressed the past few days now, except for when she had to go to work and needed to dress a little nicer in her black pants and white blouse. Her dark hair fell loosely around her shoulders, hanging in waves like they usually did if she just let her hair air dry after taking a shower. A car honked as it passed by, some drunken college guys inside whistling and going on. Noelle just smiled lightly and looked back down at the sidewalk, letting them pass. A couple of weeks ago she may have flipped her hair over her shoulder and thrown them a flirty look, but not now. That wouldn't happen until this guilty burden was lifted and she felt better.
After another few minutes of walking slowly, the music had grown much louder, and Noelle finally lifted her yes to find where it was coming from. Her mouth opened a bit and her face turned slightly perturbed when she realized that it was Kaze's house. Kaze was having a party? He didn't seem like the type. Well, again, she had been wrong before. With all of these people here, there was no way that she was going to be able to talk to her friend. It was harder when there were a ton of other ears there listening, or blaring music that you had to yell over. Standing there alone on the sidewalk, arms folded tight in front of her to keep herself warm, she debated with herself what to do. Noelle didn't want to go in, but she had made all this progress and had actually come to Kaze's house to talk so at the same time she didn't want to go back home either.
Suddenly, the feeling of being overwhelmed returned to the poor girl. Noelle felt weak, and she lowered herself to the curb where she sat with her feet resting on the road. Her elbows sat on her knees and her hands clasped in front of her, so the young woman could lean her chin against them comfortably. With a long sigh, she closed her eyes and just took a moment to think. It seemed silly getting so worked up over this. She and Kaze weren't dating or anything, and other people went and slept around all the time. Then again, Noelle wasn't other people. She had too much self-respect for herself, and that was what made this so hard. It was difficult to admit to someone you lo...like that you were wrong, and that you are sorry, and it was even harder with all of these other people here. Maybe she would just stay on the curb until they all left?

_____________________________________________◊_____________________________________________ I kept everything inside And even though I tried, it all fell apart
Parties weren’t really his thing, but little get together sure were. Waking up at his regular time, he got ready; showered, dressed, looked halfway decent, and finally got back on the computer; giving Damien the extra details before signing off. Never would he expect Damien and himself actually getting along, but hey, whatever, right? It wasn’t like they hated each other or anything, but there seemed to be some tension with them. Two stallions and one mare; let the battle begin, right? Eh, not really anymore, a truce was made. Sure, Christmas was over too, but that didn’t stop Kaze at all. It was better to have a belated thing, then to not have it at all. That was what he thought. All he hoped was that his few little friends came over. He had little presents for them. Yeah, actual ‘walked out of the house and picked up something’ presents. Cheap, but it was the thought that counted, right?
One thing bugged him, and that was word spreading. All he wanted was a little get-together, you know? A few friends invite a few friends, and that was it. When you get a text form a random person about a party that was yours, you then know it got out of hand. Please let there be a hurricane and only a few come. That was his wish for the day. Who the hell was this person that texted him? He had no idea, not did Kaze wanted to find out. Guess people knew everyone? Removing the hand away form his face and putting down his cell, a small sigh escaped his lips. Okay, he had everything out, right? Food, drinks, yeah… Whatever. God, this was a little out of hand. True, he wasn’t really a party type kind of guy, so a small get together was what he was planning, but now look at this… Loud music, people going in his fridge, who the hell were these people playing on his computer… Eyes dimmed down and if the music was off, you could of swore he growled. Okay, next time, he’ll invite a few people and say bluntly: Don’t invite anyone else.
A few people were over already, more than half just walked on in like they owned the place, and you can bet that didn’t it well with Kaze. Like a lion, he watched them go in his territory; eating his food, drinking his beverages… Lighten up was a possibility, but not right now. Glancing form person to person, making sure things weren’t being touched, moved, or stolen, he finally left his little ‘post’ and went to grab some food. Walking into the kitchen and grabbing little bag of Chex, he walked back to his little post; back leaning on the wall and eyes watching everyone around him. There were three people he was looking forward to seeing: Damien, Will, and of coarse, sweet Noelle. Of coarse, he didn’t see them, and that just made him nibble more of the Chex. They did get the invite, right? He sure hoped so, after all, Noelle and Will were both Damien and Kaze’s friends, so they should have been one of the first to know.
Shrugging the fact off, he assumed they’d come by later on; probably being the smart one and waiting ‘til some of the people left. Crumbling the bag of Chex and tossing it in the trash, he made his way to the table and snatched himself a Coke. Opening it and taking a few sips, he walked past some people and made his way to the door; walking outside and leaning against the side of his house. Well, at least it was music he liked somewhat, so he didn’t really mind. Taking a few sips of his rink, he watched as a guy on a '86 Honda Hawk GT came driving about. That, really caught his interest. He preferred the Kawasaki Ninja, but any motorcycle was awesome; always wanted one, but instead he got a car— More protection, you know. Watching with those oceanic eyes as the guy parked his bike by a nearby garage and fence, Kaze moved away form post number two, and walked off of the porch, walking to the guy. “‘Ey dude.” Be nice, be nice… “Nice bike ya got there. Uhh, ya here for the party?” Making a little confused face, he glanced back to his house, then back at the guy before him. Moving his head to the side for a moment, he spotted someone on the curb. At first he pushed the thought aside, but staring at the person for a few moments, he then finally noticed who it was. “‘Ey uhh, excuse me for a moment.” Yeah, Noelle first. Walking past Criss, Kaze headed to the curb, taking a few sips of the coke before stopping right behind her, “The party is inside, silly.” Why sit on the curb? Wait, was she phobic to crowds or something? No… ‘Cause they danced before and that was crowded. Hmm, what was wrong? “Come on, it’s not so bad.” Offering his hand for her to grab, he tried to remain happy; when in fact he was somewhat upset.

Criss had never really been one for such thing. As he stood here now he was honestly wondering why in the world he'd come. Everything else aside he thought it good for him to meet new people. Maybe. If it was good was yet to be seen. He could totally understand strangers or wanting something more intimate. He was a bit of a romantic. Not the gushy kind, but he was a sucker for the candle light and ambiance. So why on earth he was at a party with a bunch of people he didn't know, without Lamia at his side, was beyond even him.
As for the holidays, he was glad they were over. To long and to much hustle and bustle for his taste. People rushing about like a psycho after those last bits of Christmas cheer. He had never been a fan of it. He wasn't one for the cheer and bright lights. He preferred just the closeness of family, his sister mostly. Christmas and religion were to things Criss wasn't the biggest on, but he never pushed his beliefs, or lack there of, on others. To each their own. Who was he to judge?
He scanned the faces around him and started to back slowly to his bike and slip away into the sunset and pretend he had never stopped but, a voice clearly enough directed at him made him stop. He sighed lightly. "Thanks. Its an old I don't ride it much." He said then added. "Thought might, if you're cool with it. Kaze right? He questioned in his thick accent extending his had politely, "The name's Criss." He added of himself. Though suddenly felt very awkward at the moment. The confused look on the young man's face didn't help. Criss' eyes followed his for a moment. They fell on her. "Sure, no worries." Nodding. Sighing after Kaze had drifted to Noelle's side. 'Lamia why didn't you talk me out of this?' He groaned in his head as if he somehow expected an answer. It didn't come of course.
Running his hand absently through his hair he muttered something else in Russian, so low that it was very likely not caught as he slipped out of sight for the moment fighting the desire to just walk away. He slipped between a couple of people he didn't know and made his way to a tree that for the moment wasn't flocked with people. He found his eyes drifting to the pair on the curb now and again. Even as he reminded himself that he was likely way to old for her, and besides the fact that she was already occupied by two guys. He himself though only thought it would be fun to know at least one person in the city. And she after all reminded him of his sister. In a good way. He glanced yet again to Kaze an the young woman who's name he wish he knew. Trying to decide if it was his place to try to help or to back off and let her friend, and possible boy-friend to handle it. He seemed to opt for the latter and kept to himself for the time being. An likely the nite, poor girl seemed truly torn up about something.

But dreams just aren't enough So I'll be waiting for the real thing _____________________________________
Maybe she should just leave? There was no point in being here if Noelle wasn't even going to go inside. She would just be sitting out here on the curb like a lonely puppy waiting for someone to come and take it home. Man, that was a really depressing image, and one she didn't want to think about anymore. It reminded her of those animal shelter commercials that always broke her heart whenever she saw them. There had been a few times when she gave in and went to the animal shelter to try and find a pet, but at the door had second thoughts and wondered if she or Will would have time to take care of it. One day she would get a puppy, an adorable little golden retriever, she just had to wait for that right time to come before she did.
Noelle was going to stand up, any second now. She just had to get the energy. No...it wasn't there. Her whole body felt numb again. The young woman unclasped her fingers and ran a hand through her hair, pushing it back and out of her face. Someone walked by from work, smiling brightly and offering Noelle a friendly hello. She forced a smile and waved back, then dropped her eyes to the pavement as they walked by her and went up to the house. If she just stayed here Kaze was sure to find her eventually, and now that she had time to think about it Noelle wasn't sure she was able to face him yet. Just looking at her would bring back all of the pain she had felt when she sobbed on Jethro's porch that morning. The girl wanted to be with Kaze so badly, but in all honesty she was afraid; terrified in fact. She was scared that one day he would get bored and leave her, and she would be left there alone and heartbroken. It had happened before. It was why she felt so alone. And now, adding this whole Jethro thing on top of it, Noelle felt like he would be ashamed of her.
Suddenly feeling a surge of energy, the young woman was just about to get up and walk back to her own home when she heard Kaze's familiar voice behind her. 'The party is inside, silly.' His voice was so calm and sweet, but at the same time it made her muscles tighten knowing that she couldn't leave now. Even though he was standing behind her and she couldn't see him, Noelle still felt so exposed, like he could see right through her. All over again the girl felt like a cheap whore who had let false emotions cloud her better judgment. She also kept thinking of how furious her brother would be if he found out, not so much with her as with Jethro. He and Jethro were good friends, but that would send him through the roof. Will would want to kill him - if she knew her brother as well as she thought she did, anyway.
'Come on, it’s not so bad.' Out of the corner of her eye, Noelle could see Kaze's hand extend for her to take. She turned to it, almost taking it and letting him help her up but then having second thoughts. Whether she went inside or whether she stayed out here he would still know that something was wrong, and he would still ask her. She would rather stay out here where no one else could hear if Noelle ended up telling him. Considering how she felt right now, the girl figured she would end up having to tell him. Her emotions were all over the place, and she wouldn't be able to level them out until she fessed up to her mistake. To make matters worse, it was that time of the months again, so her hormones were already all over the place. It was a good thing though, she supposed, it meant she wasn't pregnant.
Shaking her head, Noelle declined taking his hand and turned away again, saying a soft, "No thanks" and staring down at the gravel once again. Kaze was such a great guy. He would stay with her and try to comfort her, all the while unknowingly making her feel even worse about herself. She wished so badly that she could just abandon this heartache, maybe replace it with anger. It would feel so good to be angry with Jethro, but how could she be when she was at equal fault? Neither of them had stopped, or even let a thought pass about what the right thing to do would. Noelle's eyes welled up the more she thought about it, and before Kaze could see the tears she quickly wiped them away with her hand and tried to sniff them away. How much of a baby was she for getting worked up over this? Again, other people hooked up just for the heck of it. If they could do it without having so much guilt, why couldn't she?

DAMIEN TORRES
DECEMBER, 2008 – 22:00pm KAZE'S HOUSE
Damien had been talking online with Kaze for a little bit about having a party, as they both didn’t really go out and celebrate Christmas, also it was Kaze’s first Christmas here and it would be a good thing to do for the bloke, to make him feel like part of the family though he was making that mark himself. Damien had said he would go and get food and drink for everyone and bring it to Kaze’s house before the party. He didn’t know how this was going to get, it had been a week since his incident with a lot of guys with guns, leaving him in a right state but the cuts on his face were fading and he was looking a lot brighter and better, he was walking more now, though he had a cane with him half of the time to keep the pressure off one side of his stomach where he was still badly bruised and cut. He had got a friend to drop all the food off at the party and told him to tell Kaze that he had some business to deal with and couldn’t come himself but he would be there later when the party got started. A little mean to say that this party was by the both of them and Kaze was the only one going to be there at the beginning, though a lot of people would not turn up until late in the night when people would be too drunk to notice them coming and going.
He had only got to go into the office where his boss was and talk to him, so he took his cane and made his way to the place, getting in his car and drove as walking was a hard task anyway let alone going into the centre of the city to see some guy about his beating. As he got there he nipped into the elevator and went to his boss’s floor and made his way over to his room and knocked on the door. He didn’t take his time in coming over and looked at him Your lucky he spoke in a harsh tone before letting him in, cane by his side he didn’t use it to get to the small seat in front of the large wooden desk as he sat down and looked at him, not speaking. You killed the guy we needed to be killed, but they are looking for you and whoever sent you and we are not happy Damien could feel the anger inside of him You are pathetic Damien, that was an easy job and you fucked it up Damien suddenly broke and shouted I would be dead if I didn’t jump off that bloody building, it was dangerous but I’d rather die off a drop from the side of a building than by them, you fucked up. You didn’t look into it and find out that he has a fucking army with him where ever he fucking goes! His boss told him to sit down or he was going to lose his position in the job but he finished for him And I am not going to work for you anymore, this is your problem, look at me I have been beaten like a rag doll. I ain’t doing it no more, pay someone else to put their ass on the line for a couple of shit kills. he spat at him before turning and walking out, the cane digging into the floor as he made his way back home.
He just left his job, the only thing he knew how to do right and he had just walked away from it all. He soon got home and walked in, Annie taking his coat and she told him everything he had done and she sat and listened like always before giving him one of those much needed mum like hugs and told him everything was going to be ok, she was here for him and she said about Kaze and Noelle and all the other people in his life before he smiled and looked up at her, forgetting about the party until he looked at his watch and saw the time was hitting half eight at night. He walked as fast as the pain would allow him to the shower, he showered changed and got ready to leave before walking downstairs and gave Annie a kiss on the cheek and thanked her for being here for him before heading out of the door. He got in the car again and headed to Kaze’s when the time struck ten at night he only just hopped out of his car, grabbed his cane and locked the car. He saw Kaze next to Noelle on the curb but he dared not to go near them seeing as she had seen him when he looked worst than this and he didn’t want to interrupt them.

J E T H R O C O H E N We could keep on keeping our distance Spend our whole lives wishing when it's Easier to get forgiveness than permission
It had taken Jethro a lot longer to get to Kaze's place then he anticipated and that was including the run to East Maui for Sarah. No, this time his lateness was Kyle's fault, ironically enough. It wasn't a casual "oh hey, haven't seen you in a while, sorry I gotta be somewhere" bump into the person. No, the idiot flagged him down purposely! What for? Who else but Sarah. He started to think he was her keeper now or something. Well at any rate, he made it home in enough time to change quickly and hop back in the car to drive another two blocks toward Kaze's place. He didn't know Kaze very well, no more than what Noelle told him. He seemed like a good guy, which was exactly why he wanted to try and get Noelle to talk to him, before she talked to Kaze. He really didn't want his reputation as a good guy ruined over a mistake and he didn't want Noelle to be seen as another Sarah, although she's no where near close to that. Chances are Noelle wouldn't be blamed for it and he would be okay with that.
Jethro ended up parking around the corner from Kaze's place and thinking it would have been easier to have just walked since he was halfway back home anyway. Turning around to go home then walk back would be a waste of time and gas so Jethro shut off the ignition and climbed out of the Porsche. He locked the car, waiting for the lights to flash and two beeps guaranteeing his car was safe. In his polo shirt and slacks, Jethro walked down the block where the line of cars and SUVs pointed somewhat slowly. He did want to see Noelle, assuming she even bothered coming, but at the same time had no clue what he would say to her. He was actually expecting her to avoid him so he didn't have to say anything at all, but knew that it wouldn't help the matter. They did have consensual sex and yes there is regret on both ends, but it didn't make it go away.
Twirling his keys around his index finger, Jethro tried to carry a tune through whistling but was too nervous to get his lips moistened enough. He ended up walking in silence toward the party where it was a lot louder. After passing by a house with shrubs overgrown onto the sidewalk, Jethro was in clear shot of Kaze's place but his walk wouldn't be as direct. He noticed the sidewalk was being blocked by something, looked like a person do him. Well he could just cut across the grass and hope he didn't have a phobia with people walking on the grass like some of the people did in his neighborhood. Stuffing his car keys into his pockets, Jethro kept his hands inside them while he stepped of the concrete onto the softer grass and began heading in the direction of the front steps, but something stopped him and caused him to turn back toward the sidewalk.
Their backs were to him, but he noticed a feminine figure sitting on the curb the one standing, blocking the sidewalk, was male. He stared like a moron for a few minutes, trying to drown out the noise of the party to hear what the two were talking about and ended up inching closer in time for Noelle to turn away from Kaze's extended hand. His stomach lurched at her tone even though he couldn't hear exactly what she had said, the way she said it said it all. Removing a hand from his pocket, Jethro ran it nervously through his short curly hair, turning again toward the house having a moment of weakness. Maybe he should grab a beer or something first just to take the edge off. No, then he might not be able to stop and things would end up going all wrong. He saw that movie before and the end never came out well.
"Suck it up." He grumbled to himself, wishing he had half the balls Sarah did. It wasn't his fault he was raised the way he was. Scratching the back of his head he took a step forward, then another, then another until he was off the grass and back on the sidewalk. Maybe he should run around the back of the house and approach casually from the sidewalk instead of sneak attack from behind. Backing up onto the grass, Jethro moved at an angle away from Noelle and Kaze, careful to keep out of their line of vision then forward to the sidewalk where he could pretend he had been coming up the sidewalk the whole time. His hands returned to their pockets and he began to walk, looking around as if Kekaa Drive was the most fascinating thing, then with a little bit over kill, stepped up to Noelle and Kaze. "Oh, hey! Kaze I assume?" He squinted as if he was trying to put the name with the face, a face he never saw before now. "I'm Jethro Cohen." Then he smiled, hiding his trembling knees and extended his hand in greeting. His eyes traveled down to Noelle on the curb, her back to him still. "Noelle's told me a lot of great things about you." That's it play the suck-up card, it's all he had to work with.

_____________________________________________◊_____________________________________________ I kept everything inside And even though I tried, it all fell apart
Man… Why couldn’t he have a bike? Oh that’s right, had to have another driving course… Bah. Him again in another driving school thing; yeah, not going to happen. Cars would suffice, let alone if you get hit, you’d had a way better chance on living then if you were on a motorcycle; but people here weren’t like the punks in the city, that went freaking sixty-five on a residential area… Yeah, crazy. The bike did interest him; looked brand spanking new… But looked like an old model… Like an old car polished up to look like it just come out of the Ford factory. Yeah, interested him. So, why not be his regular self and walk up to the guy. Heh, it was nice ride. Too bad him and this guy weren’t friends; he’d ask for a ride or… ‘borrow’ the bike. Heh, test ride! But no… Just a comment, then to the party. That was what this guy was here for, right? Like the rest of the people he didn’t know, that just walked into his house… Like they owned the joint…
It’s old and he didn’t ride it much? Well, what was the special occasion? It was just some random guys party… A guy not many people knew of, unlike Noelle. Her happiness just got everyone to know her. Kaze, right? “Yup, in the flesh; what a surprise.” Kind of rambled on, but well… Who the hell was this guy? He didn’t know him but yet he knew Kaze… Oh, that’s right, lots of people knew about the part: Kaze and Damien. Yup, they would be half-way right saying one of the names to them. Criss? Shrugging and taking the guys hand, he shook it for a moment before letting go and taking another sip of his coke; eyes glancing to the house, then to Criss’ bike, then back at Criss himself. As his eyes wandered, that was when he noticed Noelle… Why wasn’t she inside having fun? She was the sunshine… And yet, she looked like a gloom cloud over there all by herself. Sighing and saying an excuse me, he left Criss for a moment… Yeah, Kaze actually said excuse me. Congratulations, he showed respect. Now for a miracle; let’s see if he had the capability to say a ‘sorry’. Heh, that would be rare.
Approaching Noelle, he gave her a weak smile and extended out his hand for her to grab. She shouldn’t sit outside like this… Kind of made him feel bad on the inside, you know? She was supposed to be his sunshine, and well… She was away form the fun, all alone; she was like a gloomy cloud above Eeyore. Did something happen? Or… Hey, she wanted to be escorted in? Whatever the case may be, Kaze wanted the sunshine back. Just the mere site of her got him slightly happy… But getting closer and putting the pieces of the puzzle together, he started to feel more sad inside. What. Was. Wrong! She was the happy party girl, too… Having her refuse his hand, he sighed and too a sip of his coke, just about halfway empty now. What to say… What to say…
“What’s wrong, hun?” Yeah, cheesy, but he wasn’t one to stay silent for so long. And who cares about comments being cheesy or cliché. If he did not see you for a year, he will say, “I missed you. Glad you’re okay.” Bah. Concerned, he crouched down beside her, nudging his elbow on her arm, “The party too much for ya?” Once again, it didn’t make sense. Kaze was assuming as well… She was fine at the bar, dancing, but here… His house wasn’t going to swallow you up, now. He cleaned his room; there were no creatures in there that’d attack you. Forget the party… Noelle was more important. Just, what was wrong. Why so alone. “Want some coke? I promise, I don’t have cooties.” Just about to offer her the coke he was drinking, he heard a voice. Leaving the coke on the ground, he stood back up, oceanic eyes staring t this newcomer. Second time… Someone guessed who he was. Well, coagulations. Had a half chance at getting it right! “Yup.” This time, he didn’t bother to ramble on like he did with Criss. Too lazy. Once again… A handshake. God, these people were formal. Shrugging and extending his right hand, he shook Jethro’s for a moment before taking it back. Well, he shouldn’t ‘really’ complain… They had ‘some’ manners, you know? Instead of barging in his house, raising his fridge, and going to the television and buying freaking Pay-Per-View. That god, movies were two-ish hours long. Hmm, Noelle told Jethro about him? Now that he thought about it, Noelle talked about him sometime. Guess he forgot. must have been when they were having fun and a random comment or two came up. “Really now? Same about you.” Pausing for a moment to glance back at the party, then back down at Noelle, he finally looked back at Jethro. Odd enough, eh wanted to know what was making Noelle so ‘away’ form people. “The party’s over yonder.” Yonder, heh. It was as if he was trying to get Jethro away for a moment. Kind of was… But whatever. “If that’s what ya came here for, Jethro.” He could be a passerby or something…

I'll know it by the feeling The moment when we're meeting _____________________________________
A knot formed in her throat after Noelle refused taking Kaze's hand. She felt bad for being such a downer but she couldn't help it no matter how badly she wanted to. If there was a way that Noelle wouldn't feeling like a guilty slut then she would do whatever it took but, she just didn't know what way that was. Then Kaze, being the amazing and wonderful guy he was, made her feel worse when he knelt down next to her and asked her what was wrong. It wasn't in that typical guy "just asking to say that I did" way either, from his tone of voice Noelle could tell that he genuinely cared to know so her could help. Now, if she could just bring herself to tell him. She had come all the way here to do just that, but managed to chicken out after discovering that there were many other people here. That didn't mean she could get the courage back though. All she had to do was open her mouth and say it.
"Nothing, it's stupid." Oh yeah, great start. That was completely the opposite of what she had meant to say. When he nudged her arm lightly, Noelle managed to give a weak smile before it disappeared again and he continued to pry in that worried Kaze way. He offered her some of his Coke, but the young woman refused again. Not because she was afraid of germs, but she wasn't thirsty, nor was she much of a fan of soda. After she learned what that stuff did to you she never really drank if again, at least not often. "Thank you, anyway." Even in her depression, she could still manage to be polite, right? Noelle hated it when people became both saddened and rude, because then you didn't want to help them even if they wanted help. She wanted help, she wanted this empty hole in her heart to go away, or be filled by...something.
Then Kaze stood. She didn't know why at first, and didn't turn around to look and find out. She just remained with her eyes fixated on a spot in the road. Until, that is, she heard Jethro's voice behind her asking if Kaze was, well, Kaze. Her muscles remained still, save for her gaze, which rose upward in surprise. Why did he come over? What did he want? Probably to talk, when she thought about it. But, Noelle didn't want to talk. Talking brought back memories and she didn't want to remember. She wanted it all to go away and leave her be. Noelle wanted to forget how greedy and selfish she felt when Jethro had her pressed against the wall. She also wanted to forget that feeling of ecstasy that they had shared in that one pinnacle moment in the early hours of the morning before the sun had peaked up above the horizon. She wanted everything to go back to the way it had been before that night.
The two men chatted just over her shoulder, and her Jethro's voice made her pulse rise nervously. Why did he have to come over?! Why couldn't he just let sleeping dogs lie? Taking a silent breath, Noelle placed her hands on the cement of the sidewalk and pushed herself to her feet slowly. Maybe if they left Jethro wouldn't follow, and she could gather the courage all over again that she had had before and tell Kaze what, in her opinion, he should know. The girl turned, finding that she was standing just behind Kaze's right shoulder. She took a step closer to him and gently took his arm right above where it bent at the elbow. Speaking quietly into his ear, she asked, "Is there somewhere we could talk privately?" Her eyes shifted to meet Jethro's, wishing that they could be filled with anger toward him but knowing that she held just as much blame as he did. All the same, the expression in her eyes was a sure sign that she did not want to talk to Jethro right now.
